2019-2020 Counseling Intern/Clinician
Macy Nesom received her BS in Human Development and Family Science with a special focus in Biopsychosocial Health and Cognition at Oklahoma State University. She is currently a master’s level Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at UNCG and in her second-year residency. Macy’s specialization is in Couples and Family therapy (specifically, communication, attachment, and intimacy concerns), however, she also works with individuals. While her theoretical lens is Internal Family Systems and Emotionally Focused Therapy, Macy utilizes a holistic view of her clients that includes cultural and biosocial factors and incorporates a Person-Centered approach to counseling.
