I offer EVENING appointments!

Sometimes things become overwhelming. We feel stuck, disconnected, or misunderstood. Life seems hard to balance. Thoughts become intrusive and difficult to manage. Our minds feel dark and clouded. Sometimes it feels like the weight of it all could swallow us up.

Now is the time to ask for help.

We are not meant to to go through life alone. Intrinsic to the human spirit is the need to connect; to be heard, to feel seen, to be understood. You don't need to walk into the darkness alone. Let me walk with you.

I received my BA in Psychology and my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My counseling perspective is person-centered because I believe in giving unconditional positive regard and understanding to honor my clients' unique and dynamic stories. I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and see it as the vehicle in which further insight and healing can be reached. As my client, you are in the driver’s seat of our therapy sessions. I feel this sense of autonomy and personal responsibility are essential to true change. I am in the passenger’s seat giving support, offering direction, adjusting the channels we tune into, and providing food for thought. This space is for you so it will be tailored and lead by your wants and needs. Our work together is an invitation to explore your own perspective of yourself and the world and seek opportunities to evolve this perspective into one that is healthier, more congruent, and more satisfying.

I work with adolescents (ages 16+) and adults of all backgrounds and orientations who are struggling with a variety of mental health issues, including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, grief, communication skills, and relationship issues. I am proficient in many techniques, but place an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy, expressive arts, creative approaches (sand-tray, spiritual exploration), and mindfulness interventions. We, as people, are not static beings. Our mindsets, attitudes, emotions, responsibilities, and attachments shift based on our environments. Further, nothing within us works in isolation. We cannot separate the mental, physical, and spiritual sides of us. All of the different parts of us and our experience play a role in how we think, feel, and act. I feel it is important to consider the whole person and their various roles and environments, thus I incorporate a holistic approach to further client well being. My objective is to help clients identify and begin moving in the direction of their goals and work towards healing in an environment that is supportive and comfortable.

Now is the time to start your journey. Let's go together.
