Bill Gingher, MSW, LCSW
Clinician
Bill is a licensed clinical social worker committed to helping clients identify patterns of thought and behavior that cause unnecessary suffering, face difficult emotions, and create lasting change. A Greensboro native, Bill is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and Georgetown University. He previously worked as a lawyer, focusing on housing and immigration matters. He decided to change careers, receiving his MSW from the Joint Master of Social Work program at UNCG and NCA&T.
Bill works with adults (18 and up) with a focus on trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. He has experience and training using EMDR, DBT, and Radically Open DBT. His primary focus is Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, a trauma-informed, attachment-oriented, experiential, emotion-focused therapy with psychoanalytic roots which aims for long-lasting change as quickly as possible. He believes in tailoring treatment to individual clients’ needs and working collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals.
