Nicole Zumot
2024-2025 Clinical Intern
Nicole believes therapy is a collaborative journey where clients are empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe, supportive space. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where clients can grow, heal, and embrace change, no matter their background or orientation.

Nicole grew up in Virginia and moved to North Carolina in 2023 to pursue her graduate education at UNC Chapel Hill, where she is currently in her second year in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. With an eclectic therapeutic approach, Nicole draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. She has a special interest in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, personality disorders, severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI), and disordered eating.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with friends, practicing yoga, going on long nature walks, making art, and being a dedicated animal lover. She proudly claims to be both a cat and dog person, because why pick one? Nicole approaches her work with warmth, empathy, and a genuine care and commitment to helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve meaningful growth.
