Abby is a 2nd-year student in the Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before returning to graduate school, Abby worked for two years as a Research Assistant in a Clinical Psychology lab in Virginia, where she grew up. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience from Virginia Tech. In her free time, Abby enjoys taking yoga classes, creating pottery, walking outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
Abby works with clients of all ages and backgrounds. She is particularly interested in those who are experiencing life transitions, dealing with mood or anxiety symptoms, processing trauma exposure, or navigating grief. Abby strives to create an inviting space where clients can safely explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and challenges. She uses an individualized, strengths-based approach, empowering clients to take steps towards their goals in a supportive environment.
